As Catholics, we are called to be our brothers' and sisters' keeper. The Catholic Social Teachings (CST) are integral to how we live our lives as Catholics yet they are also one of the best kept secrets of the Catholic Church. The CSTs are closely linked to the Beatitudes Jesus taught about in his Sermon on the Mount. Many papal documents have been written over time about our responsibilities to one another and to our environment. Below is a link to an important article regarding the CSTs. After that, you will find a link to Pope Francis' Open Wide Our Hearts, then a video produced by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on dignity of work, then a link to CST Resources, and finally a timeline of other important Vatican documents regarding the Catholic Social Teachings.
